Boaz Arzi

Dr. Boaz Arzi is Professor and Chief of Dentistry and Oral Surgery in the Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his residency training in Dentistry and Oral Surgery at UC Davis, followed by a two-year fellowship in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, also at UC Davis. Dr. Arzi is a Diplomate of both the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) and the European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC), a Founding Fellow of the AVDC in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and holds the AVDC Certificate in Zoo and Wildlife Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Dr. Arzi's clinical and research interests center on oral and maxillofacial reconstruction and regenerative solutions in dogs and cats, with a particular focus on temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and treatments across species. He is an affiliate member of the American Society of TMJ Surgeons and serves on the Steering Committee of the Dentistry and Oral Health Section of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He also serves as Director of the Veterinary Institute for Regenerative Cures (VIRC) at UC Davis. Across all of his work, Dr. Arzi is committed to a translational, One Health approach, advancing treatment modalities that benefit both animal and human health.
