In 2004 Prof. Aresu obtained his degree in Veterinary Medicine at the School of Veterinary Medicine in Turin. He completed a three-year program and was awarded with a PhD title in 2007 at the School of Veterinary Medicine of Turin in collaboration with the Hopitaux Universitaires de Genève. The title of his master thesis was “Study of Inflammatory Kidney Diseases in Dog”. From 2007 to 2018, he held the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Food Science at the University of Padua. Prof Aresu is now Full Professor in the Department of Veterinary Sciences in Turin and Coordinator of Veterinary Medicine Degree. He is a member of WSAVA and other scientific societies. He has authored more than 110 publications in peer-reviewed journals, as well as numerous abstracts in national/international congresses. He is the coordinator of the
European Veterinary Renal Pathology Service (EVRPS) since 2015. From 2009 his main research interests are related to canine lymphoma focusing on genetic, epigenetic and molecular aspects of this tumor.
