Certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (clinical pathology). She received her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania (1988), which was following by a residency in clinical pathology and doctoral research at The Ohio State University. Over the past 20 or so years, she’s been on faculty at three academic institutions including University of Illinois, Cornell University and finally coming in for a landing at Purdue University. Joanne has been a member of the American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathology since 1988, serving on many committees, as well as being on the executive board and presiding as the Society’s president in 2010. She’s been the guest editor for two (2003 & 2012) editions of The Veterinary Clinics of North American, Small Animal Practice, Symposium on Hematology and section editor for “The Erythrocyte” in Schalm’s Veterinary Hematology.

Francesco si è laureato nel 2006 presso l’Università di Padova. Dopo alcuni anni dedicati alla libera professione in Italia, nel 2010 si è trasferito in Inghilterra come resident presso la Facoltà di Medicina Veterinaria dell’Università di Cambridge, presso la quale nel 2013 ha conseguito i diplomi di Patologia Clinica Veterinaria del Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) e dell’European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP). Fino al 2016 ha lavorato presso l’Animal Health Trust (AHT) a Newmarket. Attualmente lavora in Inghilterra come patologo clinico per BattLab (LABOKLIN). I suoi principali campi di interesse sono focalizzati sull’approccio diagnostico ai disordini linfoproliferativi del cane e del gatto. È autore di pubblicazioni su riviste internazionali, editore della seconda edizione del libro “Veterinary Cytology: Dog, Cat, Horse and Cow: Self-Assessment Color Review” per CRC press, autore del capitolo di citologia della terza edizione del manuale BSAVA di patologia clinica veterinaria e coeditore di due nuovi testi di citologia cutanea veterinaria per CABI "Differential Diagnosis in Small Animal Cytology. Francesco è inoltre il segretario del college europeo di Patologia Clinica (ECVCP) e membro della commissione di esame del college stesso per la sezione citologia.

Diplomate European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) is assistant professor at Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Milan (Italy). Lecturer for several courses in clinical pathology, laboratory medicine and oncohematology at the universities of Milan and Udine. His scientific activity deals with topics of Veterinary Clinical Pathology, focused on hematopoietic diseases and flow cytometric aspects in veterinary species. Past President of the European Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ESVCP) he is author of more than 200 contributions to journals or scientific meetings, by which more than 80 papers on international peer reviewed journals and several international book chapters, including the VI edition of Schalm’s Veterinary Hematology. He is current chairing the working group in diagnostic of the European Canine Lymphoma Network, collecting all major European experts on canine lymphoma

Laureata in medicina veterinaria nel 2002, dottore di ricerca in Igiene e patologia animale, dal 2006 al 2011 assegnista di ricerca presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano, diplomata al College Europeo di Patologia Clinica Veterinaria (ECVCP), attualmente professore associato e responsabile del servizio di citologia presso il Dipartimento di Biomedicina Comparata ed Alimentazione dell’Università degli Studi di Padova. I principali interessi di ricerca in patologia clinica sono incentrati sullo studio delle neoplasie ematopoietiche negli animali da compagnia, allo sviluppo di nuove tecniche diagnostiche clinico-patologiche e allo studio della risposta immunitaria nei mammiferi.

Certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (clinical pathology). She received her DVM from Purdue University (1976) and spent 6 years as a small animal practitioner in New Jersey, USA before attending Michigan State University for residency training (anatomic and clinical pathology) and doctoral research in pathology. As an educator, she taught at Michigan State University, University of Florida, and recently Purdue University before retiring in 2014 as Professor Emerita. She continues to provide diagnostic service as a visiting professor for the University of Florida. Since 2014, Dr. Raskin has assisted in diagnostic service as needed (TDDS, RVC, and SpecialtyVetpath). Dr. Raskin is co-editor of Canine and Feline Cytology. A Color Atlas and Interpretation, now in its 3rd edition. She is past-president of American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathology. Dr. Raskin has 60 peer-reviewed publications, 36 book chapters, and given over 250 presentations. Research interests involve cytology and comparative hematology.
