Tony Glaus finished the studies in Veterinary Medicine in 1986 at the Animal Hospital, University of Berne. Subsequently he performed his Doctor thesis in the Division of Neurology. From 1987 -1991 he worked as clinical assistant at the Clinic for Small Companion Animals, all the Animal Hospital, University of Berne.After a residency from 1991-1994 at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA, USA and board certification in 1994 he started as faculty member at the Clinic for Small Animal Internal Medicine, Animal Hospital, University of Zurich. Since 1999 he is head of the Division of Cardiology, since 2004 he is habilitated and since 2010 he is titular professor.He holds the Diploma of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (subspecialty small animal internal medicine) and of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine of Companion Animals (subspecialties internal medicine and cardiology).His research foci are pulmonary and systemic hypertension, Angiostrongylus vasorum and catheter interventions.
